Spacetil Experts
Every Spacetil customer gets an accounting team. It comes with the price.
Our accountants check everything the platform posts. A Financial Controller assigned to your account makes the judgment calls and signs each entity's books, which is why the numbers hold up when an auditor, lender or PE partner asks.

What the accountants do.
- Reviews all the work
- Every reconciliation and every entry is checked. Anything unusual gets a decision, and the decision becomes a rule.
- Signs off every close
- No entity's books are final until your Financial Controller has reviewed the package and signed it. Every month, every entity.
- Works with your auditors and lenders
- Audit requests, lender reporting and diligence questions go to the person who signed your books.
- Owns the judgment calls
- Accruals, revenue recognition, lease treatment and unusual entries are decided by a Spacetil accountant, documented on the entry.
- Knows your business
- One accountant assigned to your account, who knows your brands, your entities and your reporting calendar, with a backup who does too.
- Files your sales tax
- Sales tax collected at every location is reconciled and filed in each jurisdiction, on time.
- Disputes delivery chargebacks
- Wrong DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub chargebacks are found in the payout data and disputed for you.
- Cleans up and sets up
- Past books cleaned up and reconciled when you join, and the books for every new store set up before it opens.
What they don't do is key entries, chase receipts or build reconciliations by hand. The platform does that, so their time goes to checking and deciding.

Every entry is checked. Anything unusual lands in your Financial Controller's queue with a suggested treatment and the source document.

Questions about the accountants.
- Who are the accountants?
- Accountants employed by Spacetil, assigned to your account by name. You know who signs your books and how to reach them.
- Is this outsourced bookkeeping?
- Partly. Spacetil accountants keep your books, so you do not hire anyone. The difference is when and how: the work happens daily on the Spacetil platform rather than in a monthly batch, every entry is reviewed, and a named Financial Controller signs each close.
- What if our Financial Controller is out?
- Every account has a named backup who already knows your books, so the close does not wait.
- Do we need our own accounting team?
- No. Spacetil's accountants do the bookkeeping, reconciliations, close and reporting, so there is no one to hire. If you already have a controller or CFO, they stay in charge of the decisions.
- Can our Financial Controller join our close calls?
- Yes. They can join your monthly close review, and calls with your auditors or lenders when it helps.
